Our Story

House of Guman comes from a personal place.

Growing up, I was always drawn to a certain kind of presence, people who never seemed to seek attention, yet were impossible to overlook. Over time, I realised it wasn’t about what they wore, but how they carried themselves. That understanding is rooted in my own lineage.

One part comes from the story of Raja Todarmal, one of the nine gems of Emperor Akbar’s court,  a world shaped by refinement, permanence, and beauty beyond passing trends. What stayed with me was never royalty itself, but the idea that true elegance endures.
The other comes from Guman, inspired by Gumani Lal Bhatnagar, meaning pride. Not pride as display, but as quiet self-assurance.

House of Guman brings these worlds together, reinterpreting regal dressing for modern life through pieces designed to feel elevated, intentional, and lasting.

Not made for trends. Made for presence. Made to be worn with Guman
